Weather has been rather dismal this month so were hoping that today would be better for John and Marilyn Brower and friends from Iowa Marvin and Mary Stupka. Always need wind this time of the year and we had none making it really slow since this was a "change" day when the wind is switching back to the south. "Wind from the east fishing the least" true because the barometer is bad.
Started out on the west side hitting a lot of spots that had been giving me fish--well they still did but most were small keeping five before leaving and trying the "other" side--hit my honey hole and did a few more but the wind finally started blowing and off of this spot. Headed toward the drum boat and the wind started picking up but also started to get colder. Marilyn was having a little problem getting the fish to the net but kept handing her a "loaded" rod and she started boxing a few trout, in the mean time Marvin and Mary had more or less figured it out and after changing John to a stiffer rod so he could pop a little harder we started to box some fish. The ladies (as well as the men---me too ) started to wearout so headed to the dock to fillet 17 nice trout--not our limit but close---sure would have liked at least "one" redfish but next time.
