Taek and Nancey Kim have thier oldest daughter starting college this year and realized they need to spend more time with the younger kids so took a day off work and took Kevin, Stephane (12 year old twins) and Taek (jr) 14 fishing. Had a norther expected so left the dock at 8:00 hoping to beat the wind--- as usual the weatherman missed the arrival of the front and had no wind until 11:00. No wind this time of the year usually means very few keeper fish --- when the wind finally hit had three keeper trout in the boat all caught by Taek jr. Kept telling them that when the wind started the fish would too (I think they were a little skeptacle even after I showed them the black anal fin that showed that the fish were laying on the bottom and not suspended and feeding). Finally the norther hit made a quick adjustment in the area we were fishing going north of Unnessacary Island and immediately Taek Jr. pops a 23 inch trout and soon backs it up with another good trout. Put 7 fat trout in the box on the first drift giving us 10. Went around for another drift doing six more trout and catching a few rat reds every drift. One more drift bringing our total to 20 real nice trout with the biggest caught by Stephine at a real respectable 24 inches. Thought she had a redfish. Started to get cold and everyone was cold and hungry went to the east side tried one short little drift but was out of position since the water had been blown off of gaswell so cut our losses and headed back to the dock to clean fish. Very nice people and all of them could cast with very little instruction which is the hard part with youngsters next time with better conditions we'll find them some redfish.
