When I got up this morning the weather report said the wind was blowing out of the north over 30 m.p.h. went outside and it was only blowing about 15--go figure. Fished with Bill Henry from Canada today when we left the dock air temperature was 59 degrees with water temperature 64. Headed north to the southeast edge of Gaswell Flats     (south of the Drum Boat). Stopped in pretty shallow water  caught a few under sized reds and trout and one good sheepshead. Not happening so idled south to a little deeper water around some moss beds and found the fish. As we stayed in the shallower water it was mostly redfish both on popping corks with live shrimp as well as red with white tail touts. As we inched into deeper water ( still no more than a foot deep) we started to pick up some good trout. Bill fishes a lot in Canada for Large and small mouth bass, salmon and fresh water trout and it showed as he turned into a real good salt water fisherman. Before we tired out we caught over 15 redfish and 12 or more trout. Bill said he wasn't a fish eater but talked him in to taking some trout and redfish fillets to try---bet next time he will want to keep more.
